Puddle was created as part of a 7-week Interaction Design Project. It aims to raise awareness about the water crisis and actively engage people in making water-conscious choices on an individual level.

Did you know, an average person consumes approximately
3000 litres of water everyday.
Out of this, only about 300 litres is used for household activities
such as washing, flushing, bathing, etc.
The rest of it is in the form of indirect or virtual water use through the goods that we consume.
It takes approximately 4300 litres of water to produce 1kg of chicken, while it only takes around 300 litres of water for 1kg of potatoes
Background
According to studies, if we keep using water the way we do today, in 16 years we will have no freshwater left on Earth. Apart from the direct water use that we have in way of household activities, there is a massive indirect water use that is not obvious to us. This use happens through the goods we consume.
Design Brief
How might we create a design intervention to actively engage people in making water conscious choices, while being aware of their direct and indirect water consumption.
